Tennis Performance Training

This training will focus on the singles situations to prepare advanced players to perform at their best during match by integrating physical, technical, tactical, and mental components into a cohesive development plan.

6:00pm to 8:00pm every Tuesday.

Players to courts ratio: maximum 8 players to 2 courts (4 players per courts)

LEVELS : ADVANCED

Technical abilities
  • Consistent and accurate strokes on both forehand and backhand sides.
  • Solid first and second serves, with variation (spin, slice, kick)
  • Ability to change direction and spin of the ball
  • Comfortable playing all types of shots: topspin, slice, flat…
Session structure: 2 hours

1.Dynamic warm up (15 minutes)
Joint mobility, tennis specific footwork, light hitting to get into rhythm.

2.Technical and tactical drills (45 minutes)
– Themed drills: net approaches, return of serve, crosscourt rallies, short/long ball exercises, etc.

3. Guided Games of themed Points (30 minutes)
– Points or sets with specific rules to focus on particular scenarios (crosscourt only, no drop shots, mandatory serve-and-volley, etc.)

4. Tennis specific physical conditioning (15mitues)
-Explosiveness, endurance, or speed drills adapted to tennis movements.

5. Cool down and debrief (10 minutes)
-Stretching and feedback/discussion on the session.
