Prior to a scheduled cesarean section, consenting mothers are screened and evaluated. Within thirty days of
the scheduled delivery, the mother is serologically tested according to the standards of the FDA and the
American Association of Tissue Banks to rule out any transmissible diseases or other contradictions.
Once these reports are reviewed by the Medical, Director or designee, further filtration processes occur, and
the final product is analyzed for its growth factor and cytokine content. The products obtained are immunologically
privileged, meaning the body will not reject them, and adverse reactions are extremely rare.
