Madhurjya Borah (Madhu) has been part of the Triathlon community for many years, having taken part in a number of international races around the Asia Pacific region. He joined Thanyapura in 2018 and brings with him a high level of motivation to improve each of his student’s performances by sharing his expertise and techniques.

He is currently the only Indian athlete to have achieved a podium place within the group. In 2017, he came in 3rd in the Ironman 70.3 Subic Bay in the Philippines and was a South Asian Champion in 2013. In 2012, he was an Indian National Champion.

Coach Madhu is an open-minded individual who welcomes new ideas. He has been providing personal triathlon training for the past 4 years through the running of his own sports company. Prior to joining the Thanyapura team in 2018, he also worked as a Fitness Director and Events Coordinator for an Indian sports management company, and he is an ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association) level 1 and level 2 swimming coach. In addition to triathlon, he is skilled with fitness training and strength training.

Coach Madhu is originally from India and has competed for both as a national swimmer and triathlete for his country. Most recently, he came 2nd in 2017 and 2018’s Ironman 70.3 Danang in Vietnam under the Asia Elite Category.
